Secretariat
The Fair Climate Network Southern Africa does not have a permanent secretariat. The secretariat is currently managed by Jaap de Jong. Jaap is based at the Nova Institute in Pretoria, South Africa. You can contact Jaap at jaapdejong@nova.org.za.
The secretariat:
- manages all activities of the Network
- coordinates organisational and institutional activities
- coordinates membership of organisations
- is the main contact body for FCN SA and other organisations
- coordinates administrative matters
Spotlight
Gold Standard (GS) projects of Nova
The Nova Institute aims to improve the quality of life of low-income households.
Nova developed a voluntary GS methodology for its Basa Magogo projects, introducing an alternative ignition technique for domestic coal fires.
The first GS projects are now registered, and several others have been listed in the GS registry.
