Description African Clean Energy (ACE) is a family-owned manufacturing company, at present manufacturing as only product the Philips designed "high efficiency smokeless cookstove". ACE intends to distribute this stove to communities in all layers of society, with the full range of tools at its disposal. The company operates on a "responsible capitalism" principle: profitable and sustainable, but recognising the social responsibility of making available to the highest number of people possible the technology and product that it believes is so important to the health and well being of the users and the planet on which they live.
Core strengths ACE is a small, agile company. The production capacity is highly scalable if the demand arises. The product is manufactured in Africa, by Africans, using African components. ACE has carbon credit (CDM PoA) infrastructure in place, and produces a stove that is superbly equipped to burn many types of biomass, including centrally distributable fuels like wood pellets and briquettes.
Geographical scope Manufacturing in Lesotho, distribution across sub-Saharan Africa either directly or through our distribution partners.
