| Description | FairClimateFund (FCF) helps individuals, businesses and organizations to become climate neutral. FCF scans, reduces and offsets CO2 emissions. The fund is a social entrepreneurship founded by ICCO and Kerk in Actie to set up climate projects in poor countries with poor families and trade CO2 rights from these projects at a fair price. This is all done in the most reliable way according to the Gold Standard. |
| Core strengths | The fund’s strengths lie in its experience to fund pro-poor carbon projects and its mission to promote fair trade carbon. On the sales side; the fund remains flexible and provides custom made solutions to clients. High quality carbon projects and high quality service are unique selling points of FCF. |
| Geographical scope | FCF will invest in pro-poor projects world wide. Currently, the sale of carbon credits occurs in Europe. However a strategy to sell in other regions of the world such as the US, India, South Africa, and Brazil will be applied in the near future. |
